“WARM, CARING FAMILY ENVIRONMENT”

S.E.E.D.S – FAMILY HOME operates as a licensed programme under the regulations of the Day Nurseries Act (DNA) to provide Home Day Care within the Barrie area. The programme contracts suitable private homes in the community to provide flexible care arrangements for children of all ages.

Our Objective: To provide quality childcare in a safe, caring home environment. We do this by:

1. Recruiting Providers who are reliable and capable people, who enjoy, understand and are interested in meeting the needs of children and their families.
2. Selecting day care homes that provide a happy, positive atmosphere within a safe and healthy environment conducive to the physical and emotional development of the child.
3. Encouraging an open, workable partnership between the Parent, Provider and Family Home staff with the child’s needs and development as the main common interest.

Family Home Day Care is ideal for the child who enjoys small group interaction and a relaxing “family” atmosphere. Lower ratios allow for more personal attention, individualized programme activities and flexibility of routines.

FAMILY DAY CARE PROVIDERS

Family Day Care Providers are selected for their ability to understand and meet individual children and family needs. Our Field Workers regularly visit the Family Day Care homes. They ensure that the homes meet the required standards of the agency; monitor the children’s well-being; and act as a resource to the Providers in all matters related to childcare.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Our Family Home Day Care office is open from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday, year-round. Please feel free to call us at 726-3762.

FEES

Fees are set annually by the Board of Directors and are based on the number of hours per day that you require care. Fees are due on the 15rh and last business day of each month.
