About the Wait List

S.E.E.D.S. Childcare will strive to accommodate the registration of a child at each of our sites. Where maximum capacity of a program has been reached and spaces are unavailable for new child(ren) to be enrolled, the wait list procedures set out below will be followed. To place a child on our wait list please see the information below.

Placing a child on the Waiting List

(1) Your child will be added to the waiting list in chronological order, based on the date and time that the request was received. It is the parent’s responsibility to inform us of any changes to their information on the wait list. Parents will not be charged a fee for placing their child on our wait list.

(2) You will be contacted periodically to confirm that you wish to remain on the wait list. If a message is left and we do not hear from you, we will make a second contact. If parents do not respond after the second contact their name will be removed from our wait list.

(3) Parents are welcome to call periodically to inquire about upcoming availability or to update their contact information.

Determining Placement Priority when a Space Becomes Available in our On-Going Regular Programs

(1) Children currently enrolled and needing to move to the next age group.

(2) Employees of S.E.E.D.S. who are returning from a leave.

(3) Families who currently have a child attending S.E.E.D.S. and wish to register a sibling.

(4) Past families of S.E.E.D.S. Effective May 2024-Past Families qualifies as less than 3 yrs since last day of care.

(5) New families to S.E.E.D.S.

​Offering an Available Space

Parents of children on the waiting list will be notified by phone or email that a space has become available in their requested program. Parents have 24 hours to respond and accept before we go to the next family on the list.

Maintaining Privacy and Confidentiality

The waiting list will be maintained in a manner that protects the privacy and confidentiality of the children and families on the list. Names of other children or families and/or their placement on the waiting list will not be shared with other individuals
